Vertical Camp 2016

Jan 20 2016

by Mike Neill

Another Human Powered Racing/B78 Vertical Camp has come and gone.

Once again athletes were treated to 4 days of some of the most beautiful, fun and challenging riding anywhere in the world. The Santa Monica Mountains are a playground for cyclists and this camp pushes riders to their limit whether experienced or just beginning. For many of our Human Powered Racing athletes this was their first time ever riding 4 consecutive days in this type of terrain and each day they went out and got it done. As a coach it is extremely rewarding to watch a group of athletes come together and encourage and help one another. Limits were reached and limits were broken at this camp, but it would not have happened without the camaraderie that existed between the riders and the fantastic support that was provided by Rob Dibden and Tony Parks.

Each year this camp reminds me why I love what I do so much. It also continues to grow in popularity so be sure to sign up early for next years camp when it opens as I have a feeling we will be full very quickly.
